Educating the Healthcare Industry for Over a Decade, AHC Continues Commitment with Legal Reimbursement Seminar at the 2006 HFMA ANI.
For over ten years, AHC has educated
hospitals and health systems nationwide on the issues and strategies surrounding healthcare
reimbursement. At the 2006 Healthcare Financial Management Association's Annual National Institute
(HFMA ANI), AHC healthcare attorneys will address approaches healthcare providers can take
to apply underutilized recovery methods to increase revenue.
Manassas, Va. (PRWEB) March 27, 2006 -- On June 19, 2006
AHC healthcare attorneys, Joseph Partain and Tracy Knowles, will discuss the alternative
recovery methods hospitals can explore with third-party payers. Their seminar, Exploring
Alternative Sources of Revenue: A Legal Appeals Workshop, will be presented to attendees
at the 2006 HFMA ANI. This event will be held in Orlando, Florida, June 17-21 and will be
attended by the healthcare finance industry's top professionals.
Workshop attendees will learn about topics such as prompt
payment penalties, refund demands, and appeal letter components and they will learn ways
to maximize revenue when battling claim denials and unauthorized reimbursement reductions.
Additional legal reimbursement concepts, including relevant case law and state and federal
regulations, will also be discussed. Workshop attendees will receive practical "hand out"
material such as state and federal statute outlines, recent court holding summaries, and
sample appeal letters.
"Healthcare providers today are faced with an increasing
uninsured population and decreasing third-party-payer and government reimbursement," says
Vice President and Senior Attorney Tracy Knowles. "Because of the challenges created when
these two scenarios converge, providers must explore alternative sources of revenue to fight
a sluggish revenue cycle. Our seminar will be of great value and interest to anyone in the
hospital finance market looking to improve their bottom line."
In 2005, AHC maintained their educational commitment to the
healthcare industry by conducting almost 200 on-site healthcare reimbursement workshops. Both
Joseph Partain and Tracy Knowles received HFMA's "Distinguished Speaker" recognition for their
presentation at the 2005 HFMA Annual National Institute (ANI). Parties interested in learning
more about a complimentary workshop for their hospital business office may contact AHC at
