Eligibility and Enrollment Services

“AHC has played an integral role in qualifying our uninsured patients for Medicaid coverage. [AHC’s] staff is willing to visit patients in their home, or anywhere in the community where [they] are comfortable meeting [an AHC] representative. This value-added service is clearly contributing to the success of the program.”
–Sheila Etienne,
Director, Patient Financial Services, St. Clare’s Hospital

The AHC Health Insurance Eligibility Program, better known as “HELP,” enables organizations like yours to identify possible reimbursement sources for otherwise uninsured patients. Using field service associates, AHC screens and interviews patients that do not have insurance—nor the means to pay for their care—and helps them to apply for and obtain coverage under a variety of medical assistance programs including Medicaid, Medicaid HMO, local, national and hospital-specific grant programs, and other financial assistance programs designed to provide the less fortunate with access to quality medical care. Once the patient is successfully enrolled, we notify you and either organization can submit the bill for reimbursement.

AHC’s Charity Care Management Program assists hospitals in identifying and tracking the clinical services that are subject to charity care reimbursement calculations and methodologies.

Do you face the common issue of out of state Medicaid billing? AHC can help. We will manage the billing and reimbursement process for services rendered to patients that may qualify for Medicaid coverage of other—usually neighboring—states.
